Initially we started as a small metal scrap trading company. Since the inception of the company in 1993 up till 2003, nothing significant was achieved. But in August 2003 we scrapped a ship MV "AL HOSSIEN" in Mumbai. After this there was no looking back. We scrapped various vessels. Our activities included a major project which involved demolition of pipeline of Tata Power at Karjat, Maharashtra, India in 2004.
The Year 2005 saw us demolishing 23 ships & barges. We have successfully traded almost 6,000=00 MT of shredded scrap from Germany in the year 2006.
The Year 2007 had us demolishing SLM Industries Limited, Vatva, Ahmedabad, India, a major engineering company. This project involves breaking down and selling of almost 15,000=00 MT of machinery, steel & metal scrap.
The Year 2007 seemed to be a booming period for the company. Another feather in our cap; was the purchase of INS "AMBA" (A54). This vessel was the only submarine tender ship in service with the Indian Navy, it was decommissioned from service in July 2006. The details regarding the glorious history of INS "AMBA" (A54) can be found on various websites on navigation.
The Year 2009 brought a big jump for the company. The company purchased three vessels within a span of 3 months named “M.V. ISPAT STAR” weighing 6,038=00 LDT from renowned Company Ispat Industries Limited, “M.V. JIN YUAN” weighing 5,737=00 LDT and MV “LADY MIAS” weighing 1,096=00 LDT. All the above three vessels were beached in Mumbai.
Thereafter the company started its operation in October 2009, at Plot No 29 in Alang Ship Re-Cycling Yard, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. The first vessel beached at Plot No 29 under the banner of Kasturi Commodities Private Limited was MV “LYSE” weighing 3,467=00 LDT and the very next month MV NOBIL weighing 7,797=00 LDT was beached.
The Year 2010 wherein in the beginning of the year itself the company was allotted Plot No 11 at Sachana Ship Recycling yard, Jamnagar.
The graph of the company was moving towards upward side, this made the company to reach in a position where every month the company required one to two ships for either of its yard.
To avoid interruption in continuity of dismantling process the company joined hand with KCPL INTERNATIONAL LIMITED of British Virgin Islands to fulfill the requirement of scrap ship to all its three yard i.e. in Mumbai, Alang and Sachana.
Thereafter company purchased MV “CAPTAIN RIAD” weighing 3,340=00 LDT, BARGE “FARAS AL BAHAR” weighing 2,707=00 LDT for Mumbai.
MV “JS MATTU” weighing 2,200=00 LDT, MV “NEW CAMBAY PRINCE” weighing 3,487=00 LDT, MV“REHAM” weighing 960=00 LDT, MV “NATASHA” weighing 4,126=00 MT, Motor Tug “NORTH EAST” weighing 530 MT, OSV “SINDHU 11” weighing 1225 MT and MT “KCPL 29” weighing 13349 MT was purchased for Alang.
